Chabaso is a family-owned bakery specializing in ciabattas and other artisan breads. They are a beloved brand with roots in New Haven, Connecticut, and recently earned a B-Corp status. I have been a creative partner to Chabaso since 2017, working with them on packaging design expansion, and select print promotions.
In 2020, I helped them bring back their historic “seal” logo. We refreshed the design and kept its nostalgic feel. The most important shifts were changing the oval shape to round, and the name to black.
The round shape is a more user-friendly mark and works well with social media. Changing the type of the name to black brings balance to the prominence of the interior muse graphic. The updated logo works well across all mediums and holds the value of the company’s heritage.
